red cherry wood

Red Cherry

An ideal paddle material; strong, flexible, hard & relatively lightweight, with stunning rich deep golden red tones & grain patterns, American Cherry has it all.

Black Walnut

Black Walnut

Another top-class paddle wood; light/medium weight with flexibility and quite unusual grain patterns. This particular timber lightens in colour over time, whereas most slowly darken.

English Cherry

English Cherry

This fabulous timber (also known as Sweet Cherry/European Cherry/Wild Cherry) is closely related to the American Cherry we have been using for some time. It is paler in colour, with pinkish brown tones & occasional hints of pearlescent green and has a tight wavy grain. It is of similar weight & hardness and has a lovely firm flex. It is locally sourced & highly sustainable.

Irish Ash

Irish Ash

Also known as European Ash, this timber differs from its American relative in that it is not as dense and is consequently lighter in weight and more flexible. The grain is coarser and has more character with stronger tones of brown. This wood is also very sustainable and locally sourced.
